Snorkel Dampa!

What is the Snorkel Dampa?
The Snorkel Dampa is an easy drop in and bolt on Stainless steel end cap for stainless steel snorkels which houses a modified cleanable and reusable UniFilter Sock style filter. 

What does it do?

The Snorkel Dampa houses the Australian made UniFilter Foam filter which helps dampen the Noise, prefilter large particles and reduce water ingress.

The Snorkel Dampa is designed to be discrete solution to help reduce the intake drone and higher frequency tones and echoing that are renowned with stainless snorkels as well as functioning as a pre cleaner for the bigger objects and helping reduce the velocity of high volume water being funnelled down to the air intake incase of large splashes and water streams directing into the snorkel head in turn, helping reduce water ingress and potential catastrophic hydro lock!

Why?

Whether by choice or no other option (like plastic snorkels not being available for your vehicle), you may have found yourself with a sweet looking Staino but don’t always want the full volume of the intake ringing in your, or your passengers ears.

Help make windows down roadtrips more pleasant and fill that empty hole with an end cap of your choosing!

What’s Involved?

First Be sure to select your specific snorkel style, 4” or 5” and note this listing is for a standard round entry,    (if angle cut/ teardrop style check the other listing) this suitable for most bend angles, super sharp angles may encounter issues and may require some modification!

Step 0

Buy and receive your custom Snorkel Dampa Kit 

Step 1 

If you have an existing end cap, cut this off as straight as possible, you want the cut to be flush and leaving the tube round. *if no end cap skip step*

Step 2 

Assemble the Snorkel Dampa with supplied hardware

Step 3

Position the Snorkel Dampa assembly in the snorkel, ensure it fits as desired, bending and tweaking the tabs may be required to make for the perfect alignment.

Step 4

mark where the 2 x 6mm holes will need to be drilled either side. And then drill the wholes.

Step 5 

Drop it in, bolt it up, and enjoy!
